The payment gateway is now changing to enforce 2 factor authentication for customer login.
This is part of a general requirement for all electronic payments within the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom to have Strong Customer Authentication (SCA). Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) is a new requirement of the second Payment Services Directive (PSD2), which aims to add extra layers of security to electronic payments.
Most people will use an 'Authenticator' app on their mobile phone but sometimes the use of a mobile phone is not possible. If this is the case, you can add an 'Authenticator' as a web browser extension.
On laptop/desktop Windows we have tested successfully using Firefox and Edge with 'Authenticator' (by mymindstorm).
On our mobile devices we use Google Authenticator.
